Unpasteurised Milk

Happy milking cows- Old Plaw Hatch Farm

Yesterday Jeremy brought us some fresh raw milk from Old Plaw Hatch Farm Sharpethorne – biodynamic raw unpasteurised milk – delicious and nutritious!  Cows should be grass-fed – this helps to ensure the quality of the milk you are consuming although we do not recommend introducing lots of milk into your diet!

Milk, like most other foods that are available today has been tampered with, creating a food that is now intolerant to humans – no wonder there are many milk allergies!  This applies to our bread too!  We believe in raw food as being the very best food available, and we believe that goes for raw milk!    Not that we are recommending you go out and drink bottles of raw milk, rather using raw milk to make your own yoghurts etc.  Raw milk is thought to contain bacteria that helps to prime our immune systems and is an outstanding source of nutrients including the healthy bacteria lactobacillus and acidophilus, enzymes and vitamins.

Dr Mercola says that raw milk is not associated with any of the health problems surrounding pasteurised milk such as rheumatoid arthritis, skin rashes, diarrhoea and cramps and he goes on to say that people who have been allergic to pasteurised milk for many years can typically tolerate and even thrive on raw milk!   We need to ask the question as to why the health of the world is declining?  One of the reasons is the increased tampering with food!!!!!! (and the increase in unnecessary medication) We believe in raw and pure – as nature intended and moderation and balance and you can’t go wrong!
