Today the Guardian reported that breast cancer is on the rise, current figures estimating it to affect one in eight women. Has anyone stopped to think about why this is happening – not that it is happening! Has anyone considered that medical institutions are growing, more and more drugs are being produced (and pushed legally) and more and more cancers are resulting! Hello! Hello! Is anyone out there listening. The world is becoming a medicated society, but people are getting sicker!!!! The powerful pharmaceutical industry is feeding the frenzy. Recently I read about a man who was diagnosed with cancer resulting from the chemicals he used on his farm. When in hospital he noted with irony that the drugs he was being given for his cancer were made by the same company that made the chemicals which caused his cancer in the first instance!!!!!!!!!! Why are people being lulled into sleep, accepting drugs for this and drugs for that, when a shift in lifestyle could address many of the problems – before they become a problem. Symptoms are signposts for us to adjust our lifestyles – to ensure we are Eating Well, Moving Well and Thinking Well and also Choosing Well. Taking a pro-active approach to health is the very best health insurance.
Since mamographic screening was introduced, the incidence of a form of breast cancer called ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) has increased by 328 percent. Two hundred percent of this increase is allegedly due to mammography. Breast tissue is extremely delicate and vulnerable and mammography may also help spread existing cancer cells due to the considerable pressure placed on the woman’s breast during the procedure. According to some health practitioners, this compression could cause existing cancer cells to metastasize from the breast tissue. Interfering with nature has never been successful. Working with nature leads to better outcomes.
