I first visited Richard at Chiropractic Life nearly two and a half years ago as I was having recurring headaches daily and my neck would crunch and click seven or eight times a day as well as having poor posture! I work in an office on the computer for most of the day so attributed my symptoms to this. I just kept taking the normal painkillers and hoping it would go off eventually – I must have just pulled something – is what I thought.
I happened to ask a friend what they had done that weekend and she mentioned visiting Brighton Racecourse and stumbling across Richard & Co – so she recommended me. I booked an appointment and went along wondering what would happen and whether it would resolve all my symptoms – this was my first ever visit to a chiropractor. When I arrived and first met Richard he immediately put me at ease with his friendly manner and understanding nature when explaining the problems I was having. I had an examination and some x rays, Richard also knew I had had some sort of fall whilst I was young which could have contributed to the issues I was having.
I started my chiropractic treatment which involved lots of clicking and crunching noises! I was expecting all of this to be painful but it was quite the opposite – it sounded a bit scary when it happened for the first time but it made my neck feel sooo much better and didn’t hurt one bit!
Overall in my last two and a half years visiting Richard – my symptoms have greatly reduced – I do still sometimes have headaches together with neck clicking but this is usually related to how much stress I am under at work. Within about two months my posture was corrected after years of being round shouldered and being told off by my mum to “stand up straight!” when I couldn’t actually do it.
My experience with Richard as a chiropractor have been brilliant and he and all his family (Karen, Jeremy & Elise) make it such a welcoming atmosphere and believe it or not an enjoyable trip to make (unlike the doctors or dentists!) Hopefully everyone who visits Chiropractic Life will benefit as much as I have.
Footnote from Chiropractic Life: Michelle is a Master Cross Stitcher!! She designed and stitched this beautiful gift for our clinic when it was first opened. It arrived by post soon after we opened our doors and it was such a wonderful surprise. Thankyou for being so sweet, Michelle. I know Michelle has a gallery of her cross stitch art on facebook somewhere – take a look.
