green tea

Over the last few decades green tea has been subjected to many scientific and medical studies to determine the true extent of its health benefits.  A regular daily intake of green tea is said to help your overall health and well-being. The tea is full of antioxidants that bind free radicals in our bodies -  free radicals which often cause damage to cells. Green tea is also thought to promote an increase in metabolism which helps lower cholesterol in the body.

Green tea, which originates in China, is made with the leaves of the plant which have undergone minimal oxidation during processing.  Varieties can differ substantially due to the conditions under which it grows, the processing and the time at which it is harvested.

You will find that green tea is more than just a tasty, hot beverage.

.   Is said to boost metabolism, which in turn helps to burn calories throughout the day!

.   Reduces the appetite so you automatically eat less throughout the day.

.   Helps regulate blood sugar which leads to decreased fat storage in the body.

.    Is low in calories.  By replacing a cup of green tea for your regular coffee you will automatically reduce  the amount of calories you are consuming for the same energy jolt!

.     Gives your energy a boost!
