Chiropractors Hove

Twelve years ago I was involved in a car accident that left me suffering from whiplash.  For me, this meant I had trouble turning my neck from side to side and often had a burning sensation in the middle and lower part of my back whilst carrying out the simplest of tasks, like washing up!  For a long while after my accident I was in constant pain and discomfort and after many months this led me to feel unhappy and miserable.

A couple of years after the accident, and numerous (unsuccessful) visits to the doctor and physio I was referred to a pain clinic where I was offered a series of anti-inflammatory injections which promised to address the discomfort I was in.  I didn’t like the idea of this at all but felt pressured by my Doctor to head towards this route or face the possibility of a future backache forever!

Whilst weighing up my decision, I stumbled across Chiropractic completely by “chance”.  I was shopping at the Churchill Square shopping centre in Brighton when an engaging exhibition stall offering free spine checks which caught my eye.  Dr Richard and Karen McMinn were manning the stand and I immediately warmed to them and their friendly informative approach.   My spine check revealed areas of concern but Richard assured me that Chiropractic care would definitely improve my posture and ease my back pain – with no injections! I made an appointment there and then to see Richard at their clinic.

I initially had two adjustments a week which then decreased to monthly visits.  Within weeks to my amazement, I had the full mobility of my neck again and a few months after that I experienced no back pain at all!

I felt so positive I decided to continue with my monthly maintenance check-ups and have been receiving Chiropractic care on a monthly basis ever since!

I have noticed not just improvements to my back (which has remained totally free of pain) but also to my general state of health and mind.  I used to have at least 5 – 6 days off work a year due to illness but now I rarely have a day off work from sickness.  I feel positive and healthy and feel that Chiropractic care helps me lead a happy and active life.

Chiropractic care has become a way of life for me now – it supports my body and me on a daily basis and is something I look forward to every month.

Andrew and Louisa Taylor first met Dr Richard McMinn through the Hickstead Horse Show event and soon became convinced of the value of the Chiropractic Lifestyle but later lost touch due to relocation, however in late 2007 after a chance encounter with Equine Chiropractor, Gail Zappacosta,  they renewed their association with Richard, and have since become regular patients at Chiropractic Life, not only for themselves but for their children Sophia and Cyril.  Cyril has not known life without a Chiropractor!!

Every two weeks Andrew and Louisa drive from Surrey to Chiropractic Life in Hove for their Chiropractic care.  It is clear what value the Taylors place on their health!!
